Concert Amnesia Anyone???

So, I went to 2 Glam Nation concerts. One was in KC, Missouri, the other in St. Louis.


I took my sister and my son with me to the KC show. Now mind you, this is my 16 year-old son who swore on his life that he HATED Adam Lambert.


On the drive to KC, they both humored me by allowing me to listen to my FYE CD over and over and over again.


While we were bumping along, my sister says to me, "You know, I think Adam is really talented, but I just can't think he's sexy. I can't get past the 'gay thing.' "


I said, "Okay... Just wait."


We had balcony seats... and when the remix of FYE came on, I went completely SPAZ-SHIT! I am talking OUT OF MY MIND FUCKING BONKERS! I couldn't think straight... I couldn't focus... In fact, if people weren't filing out of the venue after the concert, I would've sworn on my life I was the only person in attendance.


Because of this out-of-body/mind experience, I swear to you I missed the concert! I know I was there... my sister has pictures to prove it! But for the life of me, when I watched the youtube videos from the concert, I could NOT remember most of the things that happened.


CONCERT AMNESIA!


I came to the conclusion that it was because I was so far up in the balcony. Yeah, that was it.


Let me digress for a moment here...


After the concert was over, the lights came on, and my mind cleared just a tiny bit... I looked over at my sister who was fanning herself. She almost screamed, and I shit you not, "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! That is one sexy motherfucker!!!!! I have the vapors!!!" (I had no idea what "vapors" meant, but her face was red and she was sweating, so I figured she was Glam Nation horny, and had just gotten her Adamgasm cherry popped!)


On the drive home, both my sister and my son wanted to listen to Adam's CD! Fever! Fever! Fever!


These days she will call me while her husband is asleep (she's on the down low) and ask what Adam video's she should watch).


When she does this I feel so giddy inside!!! It almost feels like I introduced her to my soon-to-be husband and she adores him!


Okay... so back to the matter at hand.


The St. Louis concert... I stood out in 100 degree weather for 6 hours because by God, I was getting front row (or damn near close to it)!


While I was waiting I met Tommy Joe. I had stepped out of line for a sec to get in my car for some air conditioning before I passed out. As I was headed back toward the line, he was walking from one bus to another...


I said, "Hey Tommy, how are ya?" And he replied, "Great! How are you?"


Now I didn't want to be obvious, so I wasn't really running, running... but I was BRISKLY WALKING so that I could catch up with him! And I did.


I simply asked him if I could have a hug, and then told him how sorry I was for his loss (I believe his dad just passed a week or two beforehand).


I was NOT going to ask him for a picture. He was very kind... I just happened to think it would have been a really cheesy thing to do in that moment.


So... onward....


They let the first 150 people standing in line into the "Halo Bar," which meant we were getting in that venue first. YIP!!!!!


When they let us in, I dashed toward the stage. This time I WAS running! I got 3rd row and almost pissed myself with excitement.


Watched Allison (who jammed by the way), and again the remix of FYE came on! BAT SHIT CRAZY here!!! I'm raising both hands! We're talkin' coo-coo for cocoa puffs.


All I remember was staring at Adam's face the whole entire time. I was so close I could see the glitter on his arms. I was so hypnotized, I swear to you I don't remember even getting a good look at the Glambulge and I am a Glambulaholic.


Was the band there? The dancer's? I'm pretty sure they were because I have a shit-load of pictures I have no memory of taking. And NO I WASN'T EVEN DRUNK.


CONCERT AMNESIA AGAIN!
